Safety-critical hot and warm forged chassis and driveline components produced at automotive volumes.
Forging remains the process of choice for parts that must survive extreme cyclic loads — control arms, steering knuckles, ball-joint housings, driveline shafts and transmission components. The grain flow induced by forging produces mechanical properties no casting can match.
Our hot and warm forging cells combine automated billet handling, induction heating and closed-die presses with in-line trimming and heat-treatment. Where the program justifies it, we forge net-shape or near-net-shape to minimize downstream machining stock.
Aluminum forging is a growing capability for weight-sensitive suspension components on EVs, where every reduction in unsprung mass directly improves range, ride and handling.
As with casting, we run process simulation upstream of the first die — flow, load, die stress and grain flow — so the tool works right out of tryout and holds tolerance across the program's life.
