Beware of Recruitment Fraud

How to verify a legitimate Linamar recruiter and protect yourself from job-offer scams that impersonate our brand.

Linamar has been targeted, like many large employers, by scammers who impersonate our recruiters and HR staff to solicit personal information or payment from job seekers. We take these fraud attempts seriously and want to help candidates recognize them.

Key facts to protect yourself: Linamar never asks candidates to pay for training, equipment, background checks or any other fee as part of the hiring process. Legitimate offers are always made in writing on Linamar letterhead following a formal interview process, and always from an @linamar.com email address.

If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from a Linamar recruiter — especially one that requests payment, banking information, or asks you to communicate only via personal chat apps — do not respond. Verify by contacting Linamar directly through the careers portal or our published corporate phone numbers.

Reports of impersonation help us take action. If you believe you have been contacted by someone falsely claiming to represent Linamar, please report it to us and to your local consumer protection authority.
